Grease (Lithium, 140°C, NLGI Grade 3), also known as FAG Arcanol MULTI3 Grease, is a versatile multi-purpose rolling bearing grease.
Main Applications: Suitable for ball bearings with an outer diameter greater than 62 mm, including large electric motors, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and industrial fans.
Base Oil and Thickener: Mineral base oil with a lithium soap thickener.
Operating Temperature Range: -30°C to +140°C. The recommended maximum continuous operating temperature is approximately 90–95°C. NLGI Grade: Grade 3, meaning the grease is relatively firm and has lower workability compared to softer grease grades.
Base Oil Viscosity at 40°C: Approximately ISO VG 68. Minimum Dropping Point: Approximately 190°C, indicating good thermal resistance.
Performance Characteristics: Suitable for medium to heavy loads, with good lubrication performance at low temperatures and a wide operating speed range.
Important Note: Some technical documents also refer to another grease called FAG Arcanol VIB3, which has a similar temperature range and NLGI grade (−30°C to +140°C, NLGI 3), but its base oil has a higher viscosity of approximately VG 150. For final confirmation, please verify the exact product number or technical datasheet with an official Schaeffler representative.
